During the February meeting of the Anderson 3 Board of Trustees, the board approved the administration's recommendation for Hanna West to become Iva Elementary’s Assistant Principal of Instruction for the 2023-2024 school year.
During her 11 years in education, West has served as an administrator, reading coach, and teacher in Anderson 3 and Greenville County Schools. She is rejoining Anderson 3 after serving as Assistant Principal at Woodfields Elementary School in Greenwood 50 for one year. West obtained her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Clemson University and earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Clemson. She has been married to her husband, Chris, for seven years. Together they have two children: Mary Riley (4) and Beau (2).
West replaces Meredith Dantzler, who is relocating to Orangeburg to be closer to family.
