Saying Goodbye to #A3AllStar, Mrs. Connie Watt!

Meet #A3AllStar, Mrs. Connie Watt! Mrs. Watt is retiring from her role as Guidance Secretary/School Registrar at Crescent High School after 16 years! 🌟

Watt began her career in public service as a clerk in Anderson County's Family Court. After working in the court for 17 1/2 years, she applied for and later accepted the Attendance Secretary position at Crescent. Serving as Attendance Secretary for five years, she then transitioned to the Guidance Secretary/School Registrar role.

Mrs. Watt has been married to Marty Watt for 34 years. Together they have a son, Brandon, and a daughter, Brittney. Brittney and her husband Casey are currently awaiting their first child, Elizabeth Blake (Ellie).

-What will you miss most about your position?
"I will miss the interaction with everyone! I love the students!!! I have always looked at them as my children. I love everyone I have had the opportunity to work with too. This has been my family, my home for a long time."

-What is your favorite memory from working in your position?
"That I was in a position that I could be a mama to some 650 -700 children each school year and love it!! The most important thing is to love your students! If you love them, the rest seems just to come naturally."

Even though we understand Mrs. Watt will be thoroughly enjoying her new role as grandma come January, we will wholeheartedly miss her smiling face and loving spirit in the Crescent Guidance Office. Thank you for your years of dedication and love that you have shown the students of Anderson School District 3! Happy Retirement! πŸ’›
