We would like to welcome Mrs. Tiffany Hoskins to our A3 Teaching Team! 🍎🎉
This year Mrs. Hoskins joined the SPED Department as a teacher at Iva Elementary. Tiffany was born and raised in Starr and is a proud graduate of Crescent High School. While working as a paraprofessional at Flat Rock Elementary, Hoskins obtained a Bachelors's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Tiffany and her husband have four children. When not at school, she enjoys watching her children participate in sports and going to the beach, reading, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Hoskins was already a familiar face in Anderson 3, but we are excited for her to now begin her new role as a teacher!
Today we spotlight Anderson 3 Board Member Mr. Curtis Wiles. Mr. Wiles has served on the board since 2001. Curtis is a graduate of Crescent High School and Limestone College. He is married to Rose Wiles, and they have two children, Kathryn Boggs, married to Andy and Sarah Cleveland, married to Kylan, and two grandchildren, Wesley and Bailee Boggs.

Caitlin Smith and Hannah Treffeisen with the Anderson County Registration and Elections Office were at Crescent High School today, allowing students the opportunity to register to vote! Students 18 years of age and older can also register at scvotes.org. Students 16 years of age and older can also sign up to be poll/election workers. Welcome, Mrs. Amber Powell! 🍎🎉
Mrs. Powell is a SPED Paraprofessional at Iva Elementary School. Amber has an Associates's Degree from Tri-County Technical College and over 15 years of experience working with children. She and her husband Russell reside in Starr with their children Mason, Aiden, and Kensley Mae. Together they enjoy being active in church and vacationing as a family.

Today we would like to spotlight Anderson 3 Board Member Mr. Marty Watt. Mr. Watt has served on the board since 1998. Marty is a graduate of Crescent High School and Clemson University. He is married to Connie Watt, and they have two children, Brandon and Brittney(Casey), and one grandchild, Ellie.

DHEC will hold a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic tomorrow, Tuesday, January 25, from 5-8 PM at Crescent High School. This will be set up near the New Gym entrance. Pfizer vaccines will be available to anyone 5+. If you plan to get a booster, please remember to bring your vaccine card.

Mrs. Krista Gray, Flat Rock Elementary's Librarian, received a $300 Donors Choose Grant. Because of the generosity of donors, Mrs. Gray now has multiple cleaning and disinfecting supplies to keep her library clean! Thank you, donors!

After evaluating driving conditions in our area and consultation with Anderson County Emergency Management, Anderson 3 will observe an eLearning Day for Wednesday, January 19.
As a reminder, students have five days upon returning to school to complete eLearning work.
Due to the likelihood of unsafe travel conditions, Anderson 3 will observe an eLearning Day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18.

Welcome, Mrs. Kelly Simpson! 🍎🎉
Mrs. Simpson is a 7th grade English Teacher at Starr-Iva Middle School. Before this year, she taught at McCants Middle School for seven years. Kelly received both her bachelor's and graduate degrees from Anderson University. She married her husband Keanan in 2015, and they have a daughter Claire. They also have one poodle fur baby, Pogue. Mrs. Simpson enjoys embroidering, tap dancing, and spending time with family outside the classroom.
