Mrs. Cape's Industrial Technology classes at Starr-Iva Middle began testing their rockets this week! Students started their rocket with a sheet of paper before attaching the parachute and fins and inserting engines. Recycled materials make up 90% of each missile. Students also charted their observations on how each rocket performed during flight! ππ€―πͺ

Our Habitat for Humanity Anderson Women Build team had a blast this Saturday working on constructing a home for a much-deserving future homeowner!π·π¨π
2nd Graders at Starr Elementary had a SWEET time making pies in a cup! The lesson went along with their informational writing unit, which requires students to write to teach others about a topic. To kick off the How-to topic, they followed instructions on how to make pie in a cup. Yummy! πππ°
Ashlea Hatcher, our Coordinator of Early Learning, and Starr Elementary Assistant Principal Ariel Davis recently presented at POWER UP!, an afterschool program event by the South Carolina Afterschool Leaders Empowered. Their presentation focused on Creating an After School Program that is Academically Driven and Fun! Great job, Ashlea and Ariel! ππΌπ€©π
