Students, Parents, and Community Members: We are well aware of the range of emotions that everyone is going through with today’s announcement by the Governor to cancel schools for the remainder of the school year. In Anderson 3 and at Crescent High School we realize that this is a very difficult time for all of our students and especially our seniors. We are completely committed to doing everything that we can, given the current circumstances, to work toward a Graduation Ceremony, as well as other special items for our wonderful Senior Class of 2020. As soon as we have details and specifics worked out, we will communicate it to everyone. This has been such an unfortunate situation for all of our schools and families. Please know that all of us here at Crescent High School and Anderson School District 3 love our outstanding students and can not wait to see everyone back at school again as soon as possible. #TigerFamily #CrescentStrong

This school gives me the opportunity to interact with students who inspire me and in turn, I hope I inspire them. My favorite part of working at Crescent is being to make a student's day a little easier, Whether it is helping a student with research, finding the next good book, or simply listening, I am honored to serve these students. April 6th - 10th is National Assistant Principal Week. This week we will feature our Assistant Principals from Crescent High School. Meet Dr. Lydia Moyer: Spouse-Charles Children-Luke, Levi and Mic Years in Education - 29 Hobby- Goat Farm and cooking (not the goats!) Favorite Movie- War Room Favorite Book- The Shack What CHS means to me....Home. I taught at CHS from 1991-1993, then came back in 2013. I have taught children of former students, and my own children began their early school years in A3. The relationships I've made through the years, with colleagues and parents, are just like family. That family culture is strong at CHS. To say I - or any of us at CHS - miss our students at this time is certainly an understatement. What a homecoming we will have when CHS can open its doors again! Thank you Dr. Moyer for all that you do at Crescent High School!

I have made relationships in the short time that I have been there that will last a lifetime. I love the small school feel and I am blessed to be able to come to work and try to make a positive difference in the lives of our students on a daily basis. SENIOR SPOTLIGHT!!! For today’s Senior Spotlight we had back to Track and Field for a Q and A with Tiger Senior Jessie McCullough! Another outstanding job by another CHS Senior! Name: Jessie McCullough Current Sport and Event: Track and Field, Thrower College Plans: Attending Young Harris College, bachelor's degree in History Favorite Thing About Crescent: The community. Everyone seems to welcome everyone no matter the background. What’s your “Why” for playing sports: I enjoy helping others to reach their goal through a team effort. Track is a family, just a family with different jobs. Your Best Sports Moment for your current sport: Being able to represent Crescent at the Upper State level. Funniest person on your team and why: Nubian, she is always saying something to make everyone laugh. Advice to Crescent students: Do the work. Do not get behind. Be kind to others. Biggest influence on your life: My family, they push me to be the best I can be. They showed me God and are very loving.

A3 Students - Bus WiFi Access Starting Monday! Good afternoon! Our buses that are equipped with wifi will be deployed and made available to our students starting Monday. They will be available from 10-2 on Monday-Friday at the following locations: *Mountain Creek Baptist Church *Mt. Herman Baptist Church *Union Baptist Church *Pleasant Grove Baptist Church *Carswell Baptist Church *Community Church PLEASE SHARE.....Thanks to these churches!

SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL CRESCENT STUDENTS: Reminder that all Quarter 3 work must be completed and submitted to your teacher by Thursday, April 2. This includes makeup, tests, and assessments. Please make sure you are maintaining constant contact with your teachers and are completing all your e-learning assignments. WE MISS YOU!

All Tri-County Technical College Dual Enrollment students, please continue to check your school and TCTC emails for instructions in regards to eLearning assignments. If you have any questions, please email your professor and/or guidance counselor.

Today - these buses mean even more. Today - instead of carrying kids, these buses and their wonderful drivers are transporting adults delivering food, love, and comfort to many kids in our community. Today - These buses make me even more proud to be a Tiger, as A3 employees and volunteers step up to make a difference. Thankful to everyone involved in the preparation and delivery of food the last couple of days. #ONETIGERNATION

Seniors, Please continue to check Google Classroom and emails. Keep working on scholarships. Remember for those of you attending Tri-County Technical College, the TCTC scholarship is online at their site. The site is: https://www.tctc.edu/paying-for-college/new-students/scholarships/foundation-scholarship-application/ The counselors are at CHS so if you have questions please let us know.

The TCTC Orientation meetings on March 18 that were scheduled for students that are planning to attend TCTC in Fall 2020 have been postponed. We will send you additional information as it becomes available.

The Tri-County Technical College dual enrollment meeting that was scheduled for March 17, 2020 has been postponed. When decisions have been made at the local district, the college and the state level, we will send out additional information concerning a new meeting date and registration deadlines. Please check your email for more information.

Crescent High School will be open from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17 for students to pick up any textbooks, chromebooks, chargers, or other materials needed for eLearning. If you are unable to pick up materials at this time, please contact CHS.
