Please help us welcome Mrs. Julianna Sharpe back home to Anderson 3 as a Math Teacher at Crescent High School! ✏️📚🎉 Julianna, a proud Starr native, joins us from Abbeville High School. Mrs. Sharpe earned her bachelor's in Math with a minor in Education from Shenandoah University and is entering her fifth year of teaching. She and her husband, Connor, have two sons, Isaac and Noah. We're thrilled to have her bring her heart for teaching and love for the community to CHS! Go Tigers! 💛🐯📐

Congratulations to 2025 Retiree Mr. Darrell Parnell! 🇺🇸📚 After 19 years in the classroom (ten at Wright Middle and nine here at Crescent High), Mr. Parnell is retiring from his role as U.S. History teacher. His love for our country’s past, paired with his passion for helping students understand the present, made his classroom a place of rich conversation and critical thinking. Mr. Parnell and his wife, Cathy, have spent the past 44 years serving their country and community through military service and public education. The two just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary and are looking forward to retirement adventures with their grandchildren. Mr. Parnell says he will miss the meaningful discussions with students and especially loved teaching the ideals of the U.S. Constitution. A true educator at heart, he summed up his career simply: “Helping young people develop academic and life skills.” Thank you, Mr. Parnell, for your wisdom, service, and unwavering dedication to your students. Happy Retirement! 🎉🐯💛

Her advice: "Always do your best and stay out of trouble." 🌟 👋 Meet Hunter Phillips! 🎓 Hunter plans to attend Trade School to become a Lineman. 👋 Meet Kaylen "Mari" Kelly! 🎓 Mari plans to study Massage Therapy after graduation. Her advice: "Don’t ever let the people around you hold you back. Be your authentic self and have fun!" 🌟 👋 Meet Briana Whitfield! 🎓 Briana plans to attend Tri-County Technical College and later transfer to Anderson University to major in Music and Business. Her advice: "Don't procrastinate — it’s better to get it done now than later!" 📝

🎓👏🏼 Congratulations to Crescent High School’s 2025 Valedictorian, Carter Miller, and Salutatorian, Annalisa McCall! 🏅🐯 Carter will attend Clemson University to pursue an engineering degree, while Annalisa will attend the University of South Carolina as a Nursing major in the prestigious Honors College. These two top Tigers are headed to South Carolina’s leading universities, and we couldn’t be prouder! Their hard work, leadership, and determination have set a shining example for all of Crescent. 💛🖤 Way to go, Carter and Annalisa! 🎉📚

For everyone attending Graduation tonight, just a couple of reminders. We have parking available on each side of the school. Parker Bowie will be closed off around the stadium. You can enter our lots from Hwy 81 as well as Good Hope Church Rd. Softball and AG Arena lots will also be available if you enter from the Good Hope side. Arrive early if possible. Mr. McCoy, a Special Education teacher, brings energy, encouragement, and heart to everything he does. His boisterous voice echoes through the halls, cheering on students and uplifting teachers. Known for his patience, joy, and genuine love for his students, Coach McCoy has been part of the Crescent family for 3 years and has been teaching for a total of 6 years. 📋Mrs. Chasity Dove is Crescent’s Support Staff of the Year! As the smiling face of the front office, Mrs. Dove works to ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. Her advice to underclassmen is "No matter what challenges come your way, don’t let your dreams stop." 🎓Dagen Nubern plans to continue getting his welding certificates at Tri-County Technical College. Dagen's advice to underclassmen is "Never be afraid to take a chance." 🎓Jessica Cape plans to attend Clemson University and major in Veterinary Science. Jessica's advice to underclassmen is "Enjoy it while it lasts because it really does fly by so quickly. It still feels like I'm a freshman with all the time in the world, but it is almost time to graduate and face adulthood."

Anderson Institute of Technology celebrated the first-ever group of students to complete the Parliament Work-Based Learning Program! 🎉 Crescent High School students Caleb Burgess, Logan Hand, Tyler Hudson, Sierra Jones, Avante Lewis, and Zariyah Terry (aka the Founding Fathers of the Parliament Cafe) are now career readiness completers!🇺🇸 The Parliment Work-Based Learning Program has built real-world skills, boosted student confidence, and set the stage for success after high school. 👏 🏅Shoutout to Logan Hand for earning Perfect Attendance and being voted Most Valuable Employee by his peers!
