2020 Census
Monday, November 2nd will be an eLearning day for all Anderson 3 students. A3 facilities will be closed. Teachers will hold office hours from 9:00-10:30 AM and 1:30-3:00 PM. K4-2nd grade students will complete their eLearning assignments in their red eLearning folder and 3rd-5th grade students will complete eLearning assignments on their Chromebooks. Your child's teacher will go over directions, assignments, and expectations with their homeroom classes prior to this day! Thank you for your support!

Ms. Whitfield’s class has been learning how to closely read a text in order to develop a deeper level of understanding while reading! Before diving into a text they practiced their close reading skills by looking closely at Oreos! I think it’s safe to say they had a lot of fun doing this activity!

Applications for Angel Tree Holiday Assistance are now open. If you or someone you know requires assistance, please fill out the form below before October 30th. Completion of the application does not guarantee assistance. School Counselors will contact families of those whose application is accepted by Friday, November 6th. Census workers will hold a drive-through 2020 Census assistance event on Friday, September 25, from 3-5 PM at the Starr Town Hall. Census participation in the Starr-Iva area continues to be the lowest in the county. Each person counted equals approx. $809 in funding! Our teachers and students are working extremely hard and we could not be more proud! This week was our first week of the Virtual Learning Academy and although technology wasn’t always our friend... the teachers and students persevered and made the best of it! One of our fourth grade virtual students shared her work with us today! Joceline Stephens is in Mrs. Thomas’s science class! They have been working on an astronomy unit and she completed an assignment all about the sun! Check out her awesome work! We would like to give a special shout out to our virtual teachers!! You guys are rockstars!
