Welcome, Bridget Fowler!
Mrs. Fowler has joined the Nutrition Services Team at Iva Elementary School! Bridget grew up in McCormick, South Carolina, and graduated from Long Cane Academy in 2009. She and her husband have been married for six years! They have three children Kaleb, Kelsey, and Jackson. They are currently in the process of building a home in Iva. Bridget enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on vacation, and shopping. She also LOVES college football. "(GO DAWGS!!)"

Red Ribbon Week is coming up the week of October 26-October 30! Be "Red-y" to celebrate our choice to stay drug free!

Mrs. Murdock's and Mrs. Dove's Kindergarten students showcased their writing and illustrating skills at their K5 Writing Celebration! A huge "Thank You" goes to those who took time to encourage these students by listening to them read!




Monday, November 2nd will be an eLearning day for all Anderson 3 students. A3 facilities will be closed. Teachers will hold office hours from 9:00-10:30 AM and 1:30-3:00 PM. K4-2nd grade students will complete their eLearning assignments in their red eLearning folder and 3rd-5th grade students will complete eLearning assignments on their Chromebooks. Your child's teacher will go over directions, assignments, and expectations with their homeroom classes prior to this day! Thank you for your support!

Ms. Whitfieldโs class has been learning how to closely read a text in order to develop a deeper level of understanding while reading! Before diving into a text they practiced their close reading skills by looking closely at Oreos! I think itโs safe to say they had a lot of fun doing this activity!



Applications for Angel Tree Holiday Assistance are now open. If you or someone you know requires assistance, please fill out the form below before October 30th.
Completion of the application does not guarantee assistance. School Counselors will contact families of those whose application is accepted by Friday, November 6th. Parents only have to submit one application per family. Families may utilize Chromebooks at the schools to complete applications on October 27th and 28th during school hours. (CHS will not accept visitors on Oct.28)

Today is the last day to purchase technology insurance for Chromebooks. After today, if damage is reported, the full price of repair will be charged. If you haven't already purchased the $30 technology insurance and wish to do so, you may pay online through eFunds, or contact your student's school.
Census workers will hold a drive-through 2020 Census assistance event on Friday, September 25, from 3-5 PM at the Starr Town Hall. Census participation in the Starr-Iva area continues to be the lowest in the county. Each person counted equals approx. $809 in funding! You can also complete the 2020 Census by visiting https://my2020census.gov/

Meals for virtual students will be available for pickup again on Monday, September 28. If you have an A3 virtual student and would like to pick up meals, please complete this form as soon as possible --> https://bit.ly/3hjxsNq
Crescent face-to-face students may also pickup meals for their at-home day. This form MUST be completed to receive a meal.
