SIMS will participate in an eLearning Day tomorrow (Tues. Jan. 9th). Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom and should be completed. This will ensure your student is counted as present for the day. Teachers will hold virtual office hours from 9:30am to 1:00pm, if your student has a question.

What an awesome surprise from our friends at the United Way of Anderson County and First Flight today. They donated multiple bags filled with athletic equipment to use at recess and within the school. The bags have been distributed, and the kids (and faculty) are excited! Thank you so much!

Attention Eighth-Grade Parents! As a reminder, the entire eighth grade will be attending a field trip to the Anderson Civic Center for the Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Career Showcase on Wednesday, November 29th. We will leave SIMS at approximately 8:30 a.m. and will return no later than 11:30 a.m.
Permission forms were handed out on November 4th. Please make sure that you have signed your student's permission form, and that your student returns it to their homeroom teacher by tomorrow. This field trip does not require a fee. Students will return to SIMS to eat lunch at their normal scheduled time. Please call the Guidance Office with any additional questions.

Mj Ghrist, a Health Educator from Clemson, has partnered with Starr-Iva Middle School students to learn about MyPlate and well-balanced meals! Students recently learned the importance of vegetables in every meal and limiting salt. Together, they crafted yummy pizzas! 🍕👩🏽🍳😋









There was some serious competition in today's school-wide Spelling Bee at SIMS. Congratulations to Creighton Hanks (6th grade) on winning first place, and congratulations to Konner Gaines (7th grade) for being first runner-up!
