The Parent Portal will open tomorrow. You will be able to see who your child’s teacher is. That teacher will call you this week to introduce herself. Virtual students will be notified of your appointment. If your child will take medicine during the school day, please make an appointment with our school nurse to drop it off this week between the hours of 8 am and 3:00 pm.
Flat Rock Elementary Back to School Information
As of July 31, 2020, the South Carolina Department of Education mandated: "Students and staff in South Carolina public schools must wear a face-covering upon entering a school building, moving through hallways, during carpool/bus drop off or pick up, and when social distancing is not possible or optimal. Student face coverings may be removed upon teacher or administrator direction while in the classroom or during special activities outside the classroom." This mandate follows our mask policy stated by Mrs. Hipp in the superintendent update last week. Masks will be provided for students when boarding buses or before entering the school building if they do not have one. Flat Rock Parents and Guardians, if your student currently has a school Chromebook at home, please take the time to power it on and check to make sure that it is working properly. If you have any issues with the device, please bring it to the A3 district office today or on July 20th. This will ensure that we will be able to resolve any issues or problems with the device before the start of the school year. Thank you!

This is a reminder from Flat Rock Elementary. Our summer food program begins next Tuesday, June 9. We will deliver seven breakfasts and seven lunches per student. Flat Rock Elementary will publish our virtual awards videos throughout the day. The school awards given to fifth graders will be published last at 6:00 pm tonight. Congratulations to all of our students receiving awards today.
This is a reminder that we will deliver meals this week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Also, tomorrow, June 2nd, is our pick up day for students. Students may come to school from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. to collect personal items, awards, etc... from school. K5 students will use the front driveway. Only the student will be allowed out of the car. All other students should use the driveway to the gym entrance to the school. We will bring items to your car.
