Jackie Robinson didn’t break the color barrier in baseball, he CRUSHED it with his all-out effort on the field every day in the face of discrimination and evil. And he did it without a single act of anger, argument, or vengeance in reply. A lesson for us all - especially athletes on the field of play.

When Robinson asked Branch Rickey if he wanted a man who lacked the courage to fight back, Rickey told him absolutely not……he wanted a man with the courage NOT to fight back. And Robinson was that man. He did his proving and “fighting” on the field - playing with a reckless abandon that left no doubt that he not only deserved to be there - but that he was one of the BEST to be there.
